The code for a new end node is available on github.com/computourist/RFM69-MQTT-client
It will detect an RFID token and send the RFID-UID to Openhab, where it can be used to detect presence and grant personalised access.
The sketch is stable when only sending the RFID-UID and end-node-generated data.
The sketch is not stable when Openhab does a READ request (F.I. read the uptime of the node).
Still some work to be done.....
