Hi all.
I'm about to start implementing this project, and I'm under the impression that the Buono can be directly replaced with a Pro Mini 3.3v everywhere there is a RFM69HW. Is that true? Any thing that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Duinosauro,
I use Pro Mini 3.3 v 8 MHz for all my RFM-projects. They work great !

Hi Duinosauro, I am also using a SparkFun Pro Mini 3.3V as my first effort at a Gateway and it is working fine (as of an hour ago!). I will prob replace it with something with more memory and speed once I get going, but for now its working fine.
The only issue I have had was when I enabled DEBUG by uncommenting the line
//#define DEBUG // uncomment for debugging
That overloaded the memory on my Pro Mini and it behaved very erratically. I suspect you would be fine doing this on a Node, as its running less code. Cheers, Paul

Thank you both for your replies. I was afraid running the RFM69HW off the Pro Mini due to the possible amount of current drawn... actually I was thinking about using a 3.7v LiPo battery with a Voltage Regulator to 3.3v and feed both the Pro Mini and RFM69HW separately... Increadible how (from Chine, that is) a Pro Mini is the same (or cheaper) than the node's components... (Atmel + clock + ...)
Regards!
