I am trying to create a sensor network, but I am quite new. I have been trying to create a simple sensor to start with, but I can't get the basic sketch to communicate.
I downloaded the RFM69-MQTT-client-master and I loaded the the gw_22 sketch and the dht_node_21 sketch on to two different Arduinos. I changed the frequency to 915mhz on both of the Arduino sketches. I also turned on debug, and verified that the network id was the same and that the gateway node id was 1 and the sensor node was 2.
The sensor keeps saying "No connection" I added a line to show the temp reading in the output to make sure that the sensor was picking something up and it does show a reading.
The gateway appears to get a few packets (with NAN as the data in some) and then it stops receiving packets. I believe that the NAN means that the variable didn't have data, but that is speculation on my part.
Here is the serial output for the gateway.
Gateway Software Version GW V2.2
Listening at 915 Mhz...
connecting...
connection failed...
got connection with MQTT server
2, 48, 0, 0, nan, RSSI= -27
Node: 2 Version: DHT V2.1
MQTT message: home/rfm_gw/nb/node02/dev48: NAN
2, 48, 0, 0, nan, RSSI= -27
Node: 2 Version: DHT V2.1
MQTT message: home/rfm_gw/nb/node02/dev48: NAN
2, 48, 0, 0, nan, RSSI= -27
Node: 2 Version: DHT V2.1
MQTT message: home/rfm_gw/nb/node02/dev48: NAN
2, 49, 0, 0, 47.00, RSSI= -28
Node: 2 Version: DHT V2.1
MQTT message: home/rfm_gw/nb/node02/dev49: 47.00
2, 49, 0, 0, 47.00, RSSI= -28
Node: 2 Version: DHT V2.1
MQTT message: home/rfm_gw/nb/node02/dev49: 47.00
I did load the base RFM69 sketches to make sure that the boards could communicate and thos did communicate so I believe that the transceivers are wired correctly. Keep in mind that I did move the NSS connection to pin 8 when I loaded the gateway sketch.
Can anyone help with this?
