Hello everyone – I created a self-sufficient solar powered node to take this project outside where a power outlet can't be reached, and I thought some people here might be interested in building something similar. This project uses an Arduino Pro mini 3.3v. The parts below will exclude this (don’t forget to get a USB interface for these mini boards!) and anything else that would be standard for an Arduino project, like dupont cables and breadboard. All prices listed are USD. I’m sure this could be built more cheaply. These are just the parts I used. This build is meant to be used with a node sketch that supports low power operation, such as papa's battery-sipping node or my All-In-One node. Final disclaimer - I am not an electrical engineer. I may be using incorrect terminology, doing things that are superfluous or wasteful, or just doing this plain wrong. If you see better ways to do this, please let me know! I tried to paste my document here with formatting, but I failed miserably. I hope a google doc will do the trick - docs.google.com/document/d/1WgLyuNSzYtphDnHsPVO8KOE-p_sUN5Im8Kxqh7b_ML8/edit?usp=sharing
