I published the configuration files for an Openhab implementation on my github. The example consists of three nodes and shows how to synchronise local pushbutton action with Openhab. Every node has been configured to work together with Openhab in the proper way. (Sketches of the nodes are included.) Hope this helps some of you on the way....

Thanks, CompuTourist, for these additions of config files. I believe it helps to have the OpenHAB config files that match a hardware implementation, especially when one is just starting with this project. That was my motivation for offering the openhab-papa.zip package of config files to go along with my implementation of your work. I'm currently working on a project, but look forward to comparing your configs with mine to see what more I can learn. It appears that some equipment you use with nodes reflects what's available in Europe. My approach reflects what's available in the United States. Having both could offer insights for a variety of people. It sure is awesome to dabble in this stuff & see things working.
